Linn County Sleep Out for the Homeless
Each year, during National Hunger & Homeless Awareness Week, the Linn County Office of Veteran Affairs and Community Circle of Care invite you to spend one night outdoors to learn about homelessness and discover what our community is doing to help those in need.
Sleep Out isn’t about providing a taste of what it’s like to be homeless. You may leave the event with a small glimpse of how challenging and emotional the situation can be. But one night without shelter, no matter how cold or wet, can’t replicate the distressing experience of having no place to live.
Sleep Out is about making Linn County a better place for everyone by raising awareness and funds.
Homelessness is a Local Issue
Linn County Sleep Out for the Homeless raises awareness that homeless is a local issue—one that affects approximately 5,000 people (including more than 2,500 children) in our community every year.
Contact us to request a speaker to visit your organization to talk about homelessness in Linn County.
Sleep Out also raises money for local agencies who provide food and shelter to those in need of assistance.
